HOW CAN YOU TAKE ACTION TODAY?Submit a letter to the U.S Senate by June 10, 2022 to help secure adequate funding for the National Wildlife Refuge System! The vast majority of funding for the National Wildlife Refuge System comes from the Congressional appropriations process. Unfortunately, the Refuge System's budget has not adequately risen over the last 10 years to meet the demands of staffing and maintenance needs required to protect the incredibly rich and diverse wildlife habitat of each unit. In fact, since 2010, the Refuge System has lost 25% of staff. Therefore, we need people like you to help support the Refuge System by submitting a letter to the Senate requesting an increase in funding for the Refuge Systems to $712 million for fiscal year 2023.
