DIRECTIONS: To reach the refuge office from Lago Vista, go west on FM 1431 for 5 miles past the intersection with Bar-K Road. If you are coming west on FM 1431, the office will be one mile from the Cow Creek Road. The office is on the north side of the highway.

Flying X Ranch
89365 S. FM 1174, Bertram, TX

Used as an event center, but not a public use area.

DIRECTIONS:

FROM LAGO VISTA go west on FM1431 about 14 miles to RR1174. Turn right on RR1174. Travel north on RR1174 for about 5.3 miles. The entrance to the Flying X is the first driveway on the left about .8 miles from Doeskin Ranch.

FROM MARBLE FALLS go east on FM1431 about 12.3 miles to RR1174. Turn left on RR1174. Travel north on RR1174 for about 5.3 miles. The entrance to the Flying X is the first driveway on the left abut .8 miles from Doeskin Ranch.

FROM LIBERTY HILL go west on FM1869 about 10 miles to RR1174 Turn left on RR1174. Travel south on RR1174 for about 2.3 miles. The entrance to the Flying X is the second driveway on the right at the bottom of the first steep hill.

   The entryway is made of stone, has a small sign that says Flying X (but only on one side). We will try to mark the entrance but it will be difficult to see in the dark. The lane from the entryway to the Flying X parking area is nearly a mile long.
